Paeonia ‘First Arrival’

  • Up to 50 Flowers,

(Peony-Intersectional ) Paeonia First Arrival is a great cross of the herbaceous garden peony with the woody tree types. First Arrival, when mature, puts on a real show loaded with up to 50 blossoms! The large 6-8″ blooms are semi double to double and lavender pink in color. The beauty of intersectional peonies is that you get the flower power of garden peonies with the large flower size of the Tree Peony. The sweet fragrance is breathtaking, a butterfly’s’ dream come true! The strong stems, graced with healthy green foliage, similar to that of a tree peony, nicely hold the large blooms upward. No staking is required with First Arrival making this a great choice not only for your gardens but also for landscape design. The Intersectional peony First Arrival has an increased bloom time due to the new side shoots putting on later blooms. With increased vigor and excellent winter hardiness down to zone 4, First Arrival is a great addition to both northern and southern gardens. Intersectional Peonies are both deer and rabbit resistant!
