(Tropical Hibiscus) Hollywood Hibiscus™ Heartthrob™, formerly known as Hustler™, features bold yellow blooms with pink to red centers. This unique color combination and large blooms stand out in the garden. It also features deep green foliage which is evergreen in warmer zones. Tropical hibiscus is hardy in zones 9-11, but can be grown as an annual in colder zones, it can be brought indoors to overwinter. If you choose to bring it indoors in the winter, make sure it is placed in direct sunlight, and note that it may lose its leaves. However, the leaves will flush back out in the spring once it is brought back outdoors. Hollywood Hibiscus™ Heartthrob™ loves the heat and full sun. It blooms continuously from spring until frost, and each bloom lasts for 3 days on the plant. It can reach a height of 4-5 feet and spread of 4-5 feet. We recommend applying continuous release fertilizer once in the spring to help keep the plant healthy and strong. Tropical hibiscus blooms on new growth, and it can be trimmed once it is done blooming for the season. A great addition to the pool area to give you a feeling of the tropics.
