These large blooms stay on the plant for an impressive 3 days. It is evergreen, and it will overwinter for those in zones 9-11. However, those in colder zones can either enjoy it as an annual, or can bring the plant indoors and keep it in direct sunlight for the winter. It may lose its leaves, but they will flush back out again when the plant is brought back outside in the spring. Hollywood Hibiscus™ First Lady™ likes to be grown in full sun. It can reach a height of 60 inches and a width of 48 inches. It is a great addition to your landscape, as a specimen plant, or as a container plant perfect for patios and pools. It blooms on new growth and can be trimmed back after it is done blooming. We also recommend feeding it once in the spring with continuous release fertilizer.
