The Yew is one of the most widely used landscape plants because of its dense evergreen habit and the many cultivars available in all shapes and sizes. It is adaptable to most sun exposures including full shade and it can tolerate most any soil condition except extremely wet locations. The most common uses for Yew shrubs are foundation plantings, screening or hedging. Please note that if you have deer browsing your area, Yew shrubs may not be the ideal choice for you as it is not deer resistant.
