These large blooms last 3 days on the plant, and will attract hummingbirds. Tropical Hibiscus is hardy and evergreen in zones 9-11. However, colder zones can still enjoy the vibrant blooms as an annual, or they can be brought inside and placed in direct sunlight to overwinter. It may lose its leaves if it overwinters indoors, but they will flush back out again once it is brought outside in the spring.
