(Mock Orange) This improvement of ILLUMINATI ARCH® boasts large white double blooms in abundance set off by thick dark green foliage. The citrus fragrance of ILLUMINATI SPICE™ is rich and reminiscent of classic Mock Oranges. ILLUMINATI SPICE™ Philadelphus has an upright growth habit giving it an excellent presence in both containers or the landscape. Growing 4 feet high and wide, this elegant and showy shrub is adaptable to most conditions, but grows best in well-drained soil with adequate moisture. It is, however, drought tolerant once established. ILLUMINATI SPICE™ can grow in part shade, but best flowering and fragrance happens with at least 6 hours of sun. Hardy in zones 4-7, ILLUMINATI SPICE™ Philadelphus is excellent as a specimen plant, in the mixed border or foundation planting, or placed in containers to grace the deck or patio.
