Available Positions

Customer Service Representative

Create a friendly and welcoming environment by greeting and offering assistance to customers by phone. You are the voice of Garden Crossings to the customer ensuring they remain the top priority while balancing tasks and routines.

 

Plant Knowledge is a Must!

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide superior and professional customer service to our Mail Order Customers
  • Answering Phone calls, great all customers warmly, assisting in a friendly, courteous manner, and efficiently resolving customer’s questions and requests
  • Delivers the highest level of customer service through effective problem-solving. Resolve order problems.
  • Complete placement of orders accurately and effective while engaging with the customer 
  • Handle complaints and provide appropriate solutions. Replace/Refund based on approval.
  • Assist with refunds or replacements as directed by the manager.
  • Notify customers by email of any backorders.
  • Keep records of all customer interactions making sure to provide accurate and complete information in order.
  • Flexible and willing to cross-train and work in other areas, as needed

Greenhouse Production Team Member

Garden Crossings is a family-owned and operated mail-order and retail Company that ships quality plants to the continental US.

This fast-paced seasonal position (February through June) includes, but is not limited to, planting, maintaining, and shipping our plants. This position may include day and occasional evening and weekend hours (Saturday Only). Positions are available beginning in February/March . This position may lead to part-time work year-round for the right employee once hired. We prefer candidates that can work 25-40+ hours per week during our peak season ( April to June).

 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain high-quality work at a steady and consistent pace.
  • Planting and setting down newly planted plants
  • Assist with picking customer orders
  • Cleaning and maintaining plants for shipment
  • Preparing orders for shipment
  • Checking customers’ orders to ensure accurate orders are being shipped
  • Assist with picking customer orders
  • Trimming and maintaining Product
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace by keeping the workspace clean and areas swept.

Requirements

  • Some plant knowledge is helpful but not required
  • Ability to work in an indoor/outdoor environment
  • Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures.
  • Communicate and work with other team members in a professional and courteous manner
  • Comfortable with manual labor, including standing, bending, or reaching for 8 hours a day
  • Is detail-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
  • Maintain a positive attitude

Position Details:

  • Full Time Seasonal or Part-Time Seasonal (March 1 through October 31) Year-round part-time available for the right candidate
  • Hours: Flexible in spring, summer, and fall, with heavier hours in April, May, and June. Seasonal overtime available

Plant Inventory Assistant

Garden Crossings is a family-owned and operated mail-order and retail company that ships quality plants to the continental US.

 

This fast-paced part-time position includes but is not limited to, plant counting, sorting, and ready date scheduling. The primary responsibility in this role is to ensure accuracy in the greenhouse. This position may include day and occasional weekend hours (Saturday Only). Required Skills include some plant knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. Position available beginning Early to Mid March. This position may lead to part-time work year-round employment for the right employee once hired. We prefer candidates that can work 25- 40 hours per week during our peak season ( Mid March- June).

 

Responsibilities

  • Receiving, counting, tagging, checking new plants that come in
  • Planting and setting down newly planted plants
  • Scanning out and disposal of plants as needed
  • Trimming and maintaining Product
  • As needed…
  • Assist with picking customer orders
  • Cleaning and maintaining plants for shipment
  • Preparing orders for shipment
  • Checking customers’ orders to ensure accurate orders are being shipped
  • Assist with picking customer orders

Retail Garden Center Sales Team Member

We are currently searching for Garden Center Plant Sales Associates who will assist customers in determining and choosing their products. If you love working with plants alongside a fun, hard-working, and dedicated team, we are looking for you.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide superior and professional customer service by creating a friendly, welcoming environment
  • Sales of our products and services
  • Pull orders for customer pickup
  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the Garden Center
  • Aid Garden Center Manager in receiving and stocking inventory
  • Anticipate customer needs and willingly help the customer by making plant selections, planting up their containers, getting a cart, carrying products, etc.
  • Trimming and maintaining Product, Restocking the Store


Requirements

  • Knowledge of plants and/or landscaping- Basics, we can teach you more in-depth
  • Ability to work in an indoor/outdoor environment

Social Media Assistant

Plant Knowledge is Helpful

 

We are looking for a creative and strategic social media assistant to work in our marketing department. The social media assistant will be responsible for coming up with campaigns, creating social media content, and reviewing analytics. Time management skills and keeping up with industry standards is a must.


Responsibilities

  • Create social media campaigns.
  • Brainstorm campaign ideas
  • Review analytics to understand the success of campaigns 
  • Research social media platforms to be up on current trends and requirements.
  • When writing posts utilize relevant keywords for search engine optimization.
  • Load blog and articles content to the website as needed
  • Prepare and write sales emails
  • Assist social media lead as needed
  • Reply to customer comments


Requirements

  • Knowledge of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest & YouTube.
