Plant Sizes Offered

Many of our plants are available in multiple container sizes so you can choose what benefits your budget, timeline, and garden goals. Smaller sizes are perfect for gardeners who enjoy watching plants grow and fill in over time, while larger sizes offer quicker impact and a more finished look right away.

 

We currently offer three sizes for annuals and perennials and two sizes for shrubs, each with its own advantages.

 

Flowering at the time of arrival may vary based on the season. Plants may have completed their bloom cycle or may have been recently trimmed. Regular pruning encourages branching and root development and helps maintain plant health during shipping and transplant establishment.

Annual Plant Sizes

4.25" Pot

1.71 pt / 813 ml

This is our most versatile planting size and a favorite for creative gardeners. These plants are ideal for building combination containers, window boxes, and hanging baskets, where they quickly establish alongside other plants. They can also be planted directly into the landscape, where they’ll grow and fill in beautifully as the season progresses. This size is budget-friendly and perfect when planting in quantity.

Quart Pot

1.0 qt / 946 ml

Quart-size annuals provide a bit more substance and faster visual impact than smaller pots. They’re perfect for gardeners who want instant color and interest in containers or garden beds without stepping up to a larger pot. This size is commonly available for many of our grasses and select annual varieties and offers a nice balance between size and value.

8" Pot

Our 8" pots are a true 1-gallon size and contain more established plants. These plants fill out containers and landscape spaces more quickly, making them a great choice when you want a bold, finished look sooner. They’re ideal for focal points, statement containers, or garden areas where immediate impact matters.

Perennial Plant Sizes

3.5" Pot

Our 3.5" pots are used specifically for Chick Charms®, a unique line of hardy perennial succulents known for their vibrant colors, textures, and compact growth. 

Quart Perennials

1.0 qt / 946 ml

Quart-size perennials are well-established young plants that are perfect for gardeners thinking long-term. Once planted in the garden, they’ll spend a season or two bulking up and settling in before reaching their full potential. This size is a great choice for larger plantings, budget-conscious projects, or for gardeners who enjoy watching their landscape mature over time.

Our true 1-gallon perennials are more mature and already nicely filled out. They transition seamlessly into the landscape and provide a fuller look right from the start. This size is ideal when you want quicker results, less waiting, and a more established appearance in newly planted or refreshed garden areas.

Shrub Plant Sizes

Quart Shrubs

1.0 qt / 946 ml

Quart-size shrubs are typically one-year-old plants and are perfect for gardeners who enjoy the process of growing and shaping their landscape over time. While they take a bit longer to reach their mature size, they establish well and are a great option for larger projects or long-term planning.

8" Shrub Pots

Our true 1-gallon shrubs are two-year-old plants that are well established and ready to grow. They provide quicker structure and presence in the landscape and help complete the look of garden beds sooner. This size is ideal when you want faster results and a more polished appearance without waiting several seasons.
