Regal® Charmaine™ Clematis

(Clematis) Large, double blooms are always an exciting flower form to find when looking for clematis. The Regal® series features just that. Regal® Charmaine™ clematis has large 4-6″ crimson red double to semi-double to single blooms that could occur all at the same time on one plant. This long-blooming clematis starts blooming early summer off of the previous season’s growth and continues to bloom throughout the summer off of the new season’s growth. Its blooms attract bees, hummingbirds, and butterflies, making it a great pollinator plant. Standing 6-8 feet tall, clematis is an elegant vine that grows well up pergolas, trellis, and deck posts. It adds tremendous vertical color to your garden! Regal® Charmaine™ clematis grows well in full sun to part shade locations, and in moderate to moist soil conditions. It is a part of prune Group 2, so you will want to give it a light trim in the early spring and clean up any dead or weak stems. February or March is the best time to do these tasks which will ensure your clematis thrives in the upcoming season.
