Description
(Dahlia) Dahlias are a staple summer flower in the garden and Virtuoso™ Classy Carmine™ Dahlia is no exception. Dahlias in the Virtuoso™ series boast better powdery mildew tolerance and season-long performance. Virtuoso™ Classy Carmine™ features true red, double-petaled flowers growing amongst an upright habit of deep green foliage. The flowers appear in spring and become more abundant in the heat of the summer. Plant in full sun and watch as it grows! Virtuoso™ Classy Carmine™ can reach a max height of 15-18 inches and can spread up to 12-18 inches. Enjoy your dahlia blooms outside in the garden or in containers, or cut the blooms and bring them indoors to be enjoyed in a vase on your kitchen table. This dahlia acts as a thriller in container combinations and can be planted with other summer-blooming annuals. We recommend feeding your annuals weekly with a water soluble fertilizer, and it is also recommended to deadhead the spent flowers on your dahlias for the health and appearance of the plant. Dahlias tend to be an unpleasant choice and are noted as deer and rabbit resistant, although not deer and rabbit proof.
