Description

(Pinks) Whether you are painting the town or painting your landscape, we have just the flower to give you full coverage of color. Dianthus 'Paint the Town Fancy' features one-inch bright pink flowers with a deep magenta eye. The Paint the Town series of Dianthus have been bred for their increased heat tolerance. Hardy in zones 4-9, planted in full sun to part shade locations, Dianthus 'Paint the Town Fancy' can handle the heat. The bluish green foliage is unlike any other dianthus in this family. Standing 8-10 inches tall and creating a spreading mound up to 18 inches wide, the solid mat of flower color will 'wow' your early summer garden. Once your dianthus is done blooming, give it a light trim and wait for a rebloom later in the summer. Dianthus has low to average water needs and is a perfect addition to hillsides as well as borders, mass plantings, and in container gardens. If deer are a problem, no worries, this dianthus is a deer-resistant perennial. These easy to grow perennials attract butterflies as well as being fragrant, cut a few stems and bring them indoors to place in a vase. Dianthus 'Paint the Town Fancy' is a Proven Winners® Perennial.
