Description

The Weekender® Hanging Planter is a self-watering system that will allow you the flexibility to water your hanging baskets every 2-4 days instead of daily. This is ideal for those who have to go out of town for a few days and want their plants to be alive when they get back!

Plants are watered through root moisture absorption with an innovative wicking system that draws water from the 1-gallon reservoir into the soil. There is an overflow feature to prevent over-watering. Water is held in the reservoir by a plug that can easily be removed if you would like to treat your Weekender® like a regular hanging basket.

The Weekender® Hanging Planter is available in matte black, forest green, royal blue, sand or seafoam green and is 16” in diameter. It comes with a 3-prong rotating hanger and is made in the USA.

Make sure the structure you’re hanging the basket from can safely support its weight. We recommend using a sturdy 4x4 post with a heavy-duty bracket, or installing a heavy-duty eyelet into a solid joist or beam on your porch or deck.

Nice and big

NO RETURN ALLOWED - TOO HEAVY

I love every GORGEOUS plant that arrives in great shape (with one exception out of numerous orders) .... every variety offered .... everything from Garden Crossings - everything ordered ... but this, and this is the straw that broke the camel's back. It is too heavy with no return allowed. I even called. Upon hanging it half filled with soil and with flower seeds, it immediately sent a very sturdy new shepherd's hook into a side tilt and threw my new beautiful glass hummingbird feeder off the other side shattering it and chipping one of my bird baths. On a windy beach day, it would take out my landscaping in that one area - or Heaven Forbid, kill one of my little pups. It was suggested I hang it from a tree or use on the ground where I have appropriate planters for ground use. I guess I didn't catch the NO RETURN POLICY for this, so ... I'm stuck; yet, landscaping is such a joy to me, this fiasco was a sad day.

We do include the expected weight on the product page once the basket is filled with soil, plants, and water, as it can become quite heavy. Because of that, we don’t recommend using it on a shepherd’s hook. It’s best suited for a sturdier support that can safely hold 30+ pounds.

I love this basket!

A great basket and built to last. I love the thoughtful design with the overflow. This is keeping my patio from constantly getting wet each time I water hanging baskets. And now I am not having to water every day in Florida. Well worth the price.
