Bloomerang Showmound® Reblooming Lilac (Syringa)

(Reblooming Lilac) A white blooming addition to the Bloomerang series of lilacs, meet Bloomerang Showmound® Syringa! This is a reblooming lilac, which features neat clusters of dainty white flowers and contrasting dark green foliage. What makes this lilac so special, aside from its unique white blooms, is its compact and tidy growth habit. It can grow to 3 feet tall and 2-3 feet wide in a mounded shape. Its first round of blooms will appear in the late spring. Don't worry if it takes a break from blooming after this first round, another round of blooms will emerge again shortly after, and it will continue to rebloom from mid-summer through fall. Bloomerang Showmound® Syringa is hardy in zones 3-7 and grows best under full sun exposure. It is recommended to plant in soils that have excellent drainage. This lilac blooms on both old and new growth, but can be trimmed back after the first round of blooms in the spring to help encourage a more prolific second round of blooms. However, trimming will also delay the second round of blooms. Lilacs make an excellent border plant, mass planting, or specimen plant in the garden.
