Description

(West Indian Kale) Colocasia 'Coffee Cups' is a unique award winning elephant ear that has striking black stems and black-tinted veining on dark green leaves. Each leaf forms an upright ‘cup’ that will fill with water, tip over, and then stand back upright, hence it’s name. It will make a stunning statement in any large container combination or in the landscape as it grows to heights of 3-5’. It also loves wet conditions and can be used as a water plant growing best in full sun to part shade locations. Colocasia ‘Coffee Cups’ is adaptable as a houseplant but please note that it can be toxic to pets.

I could not believe how fast Colocasia 'Coffee Cups' grows. I planted 2- 4.5" pots in this container in late May and by the 4th of July this is what I had. A gorgeous, huge planter!! They love it hot and that is what they got in the middle of my back yard.

This plant is amazing. The growth rate is very vigorous, and the near black stems really pip in front of a big terra cotta container for me. I have to keep slug bait out, but it's a s.all price to pay for these beauties.

Planted 3 coffee cups in containers with petunias looks great.They are 3 times the size now in almost a month.There is one or two leaves on each plant turning brown,but more leaves coming up to replace them. We like these plants and will buy them again. Also well packaged when we got them. Thank You

I purchased the 8" jumbo pot, it was so well packaged I could hardly believe it! Planted mid May and one month later she is just beautiful. Super pleased.
