Description
(Maiden Grass) Add vertical motion to your landscape with Miscanthus 'Encore' ornamental grass. Standing 6-6.5 foot tall spreading 3-4 foot wide, Encore has a tight, upright habit. A great choice for Northern gardens where the cold, fall temperatures occur early. Encore blooms earlier than other Miscanthus ornamental grasses starting late summer and may even have a second round of blooms before the cold of fall sets in. The dark green foliage has a fine white stripe down the center. Miscanthus grass is deer resistant and can be used as a specimen or in mass, anywhere you need vertical height. Wait until spring to cut your grasses as they add great winter interest.
