Description

(Hosta) ‘High Society’ Hosta is a classy sport of Hosta ‘June’. This compact beauty emerges in spring with a narrow, yellow center and wide, powder-blue margins. As the season progresses, its leaf center widens and brightens to white. Pale lavender flowers appear in late summer and stand tall in the center of the plant. It brings a classic, vintage feel to the garden. This hosta grows best in full to part shade, but can take some morning sun. It is hardy in zones 3-9, and can reach a maximum height of 8 inches and can spread as wide as 15 inches. It is a slower to grow variety but is definitely worth the wait. When the plant is young, it is recommended to keep it mulched to hold in moisture for the roots. Also do this if it is planted in a more sunny location. We also recommend trimming the foliage off in the late fall once the leaves start to get slimy. This will help keep the plant clean and ready for new growth in the spring. Plant with other hostas for a patchwork of color in your shade garden, or try it in a container on your patio.

Real Size Pots

I fell in love with this plant when I first saw it, but in all the nurseries around here, I could only find one and I wanted another. Most online sites offer plants in tiny 2 pots. This was the only site I found that offered "real" sized pots which means the plant is actually a decent size. Thank you for helping me get my second High Society Hosta!"
