Description
(Rockfoil) If you're looking for a plant with loads of flower power in the early season, you've found it! Marto™ 'Hot Rose' Saxifraga, commonly known as Rockfoil, will reward you with tons of blooms in March through June. It features hot pink to pale pink flowers with yellow centers. These flowers adorn the ends of upright, light green stems. This rockfoil can reach a maximum height of 4-6 inches and can spread up to 5-7 inches wide. Growing in a mounded habit, it is a nice, compact plant for small spaces in the garden. Marto™ 'Hot Rose' Saxifraga is hardy in zones 4-8, and is fairly frost tolerant. It can withstand temperatures down to -25 degrees, so it should hold up during light frosts in the early spring. Marto™ 'Hot Rose' can be grown in full sun, in warmer climates it would benefit from some afternoon shade. This drought tolerant perennial is perfect for rock gardens and borders.
