(Daylily) RAINBOW RHYTHM® ‘Going Bananas’ Hemerocallis has everyone going bananas! This is an incredible reblooming daylily that everyone will want in their gardens. The cheerful canary yellow flowers are 4″ wide and bloom profusely in July and then continue reblooming into early fall. Its long green foliage also adds interest and motion to the garden. This is a definite improvement over the ever popular Hemerocallis® ‘Happy Returns’. Unlike ‘Happy Returns’, the flowers of ‘Going Bananas’ always open fully, plus, the flowers are much bigger, which gives a much more colorful display. Hardy in zones 3-9, this daylily can reach a maximum height of 19-22 inches and a maximum width of 18-24 inches. Easy to care for, it grows best in full sun to part shade areas of the garden. It has low to average watering requirements, and can be deadheaded if preferred but it is not necessary. Destined to become an American classic! So far, surviving in what looks to be the hottest summer ever in Dallas, TX!

Watering every day to keep everything alive, including these. I got these in early July and planted them on a west-facing side of the house so it's brutely hot in the afternoon. They've had quite the shock. They are growing and a few have flowered! The color you see on this website is accurate - not your normal medium-sized orange/yellow but a large lemon yellow. I'm looking forward to what they do next year.

Incedibly Robust

I planted Going Bananas last summer 2010 in my Mom's garden which is new construction and has some of the hardest stickiest clay I've ever dug in... One year later; these plants are incredibly robust... They are blooming their heads off... Beautiful pure yellow... The plants are so big and robust after just one year

Lovely Repeat Bloomer
