Description
(African Daisy) Consistently doing well in the heat of summer is the Bright Lights™ series of Osteospermum. Often you will find that Osteos slow down or stop blooming altogether in the heat of the summer, that is just not the case with Bright Lights™ Purple African Daisy. Standing 8-12 inches tall and wide, the deep purple/pink daisy-like flowers sway in the breeze just above the deep green foliage. No deadheading is needed to keep these in flower from early summer until fall. This heat-tolerant osteo is well suited for full sun to part shade locations. Osteospermum prefers a well-drained location and do not do well if they have ‘wet feet’. The upright mounding habit of Bright Lights™ Purple African Daisy mixes well with Supertunias® and Superbells® for a striking combination. You may also consider planting in the ground to create a nice border in your garden.
