Colorblaze® Rediculous® Coleus
- Shades of Burgandy and Magenta,
- Great Container Plant,
- Loves the Sun and the Shade
Description
(Coleus) Create a beautiful container combination or landscape planting with Coleus Colorblaze® Rediculous™. Rediculous™ adds a high impact of color to your planters. The deep magenta/burgundy foliage adds a great pop of color, mix with other coleus for a dramatic display. The more sun Rediculous™ gets the more prominent the burgundy color. Coleus Colorblaze® Rediculous™ stands 24-36 inches tall and spreads 18-36 inches wide. Rediculous™ can be planted in full sun to full shade locations. If you are in an area with low humidity we recommend planting in part shade to full shade. This easy to grow annual is primarily used for foliage interest. The Colorblaze® family of Coleus have been breed to bloom late in the season. To keep the foliage as the main attraction, you may pinch off the flowers if you wish. The upright habit of Coleus Colorblaze® Rediculous™ make this a great thriller for container designs as well as adding an upright splash of color to the landscape. We recommend fertilizing annuals with a water soluble fertilizer to keep them looking fabulous all summer into the fall.

Reviews
Two months in and I love these. When these healthy plants first arrived, the color seemed dull. My husband looked at them with disappointment, and I held off in planting them. But I put the pots in the sun and they brightened… living up to their boastful name. Now they’re planted as a centerpiece of my landscape, surrounded by white and pink petunias. In the sun, these plants almost rival the brightness of the poinsettias they replaced. My neighbor suggests I will win the community’s “best yard” award, and I confess, I have to pretend not to stare at my own garden.
So pretty, I put 5 in sun and 4 in part shade (3hrs direct sun). Both areas did really good. Must keep the sun waters well. Part shade has a deeper more pretty red. Sun by the end of season was more of a red-orange. I will definitely be buying again for the part shade area. Easy plant
Disappointed in this coleus. I planted in a part shade/part sun location and over the course of summer the edging on the leaves starting losing the red color turning greenish. Now the description says "The more sun REDICULOUS™ gets the more prominent the burgundy color" so I think if I were to purchase again I would plant in a full sun location.
