Description

(Vinca) Bright non-stop color in a heat and drought tolerant package is what Cora® Cascade Violet adds to the landscape. Cora® Cascade Violet is part of the Cora® Cascade series of trailing Vinca which boasts large prolific blooms and thick glossy foliage that has excellent disease resistance. The deep violet purple blooms are set off by a center white eye. Growing 6-8" high by 22-25" wide, Cora® Cascade Violet is great as a spiller in container combinations, hanging baskets and window boxes and is also perfect planted in mass in the landscape for a continuous show of color throughout the season that butterflies will just love. Hardy in zones 9-11, Cora® Cascade Violet Vinca can be grown in full to part sun locations, has average water requirements and is drought tolerant once established. It can handle the heat of the South and performs just as well in the North from late spring until the first frost.

Winner! Planted in narrow window boxes with full south and west sun, 6b, 90-100 heat degree in June! These trailing vinca are perfect, filling and cascading over the window box, thriving with lemon tart lantana and whirlwind blue scaevola! Violet flowers stand out against a light yellow home however, these are actually a hot pink, instead of violet. While a disappointment color wise, I am ecstatic to find three plants that will survive in these window boxes!

Looks great so far. I actually got one that was a light pink in the order and it is such a pretty color too!

It is pink with purple undertones. It does seem to be more pink than violet though.

Is the flower pink?
