Double Play Doozie® features hot reddish pink flowers that start blooming late spring and put on a show all summer long. The foliage of Double Play Doozie® is also something worth noting. In the spring the bronze red foliage shines, as the temperatures warm up the foliage takes on a light green color. The new growth emerges burgundy in color, giving the tips a nice color contrast. Forming a compact mound, Spirea Double Play Doozie® stands 2-3 foot tall and wide. Planted in full sun to part shade locations, Double Play Doozie® is adaptable to moist soil conditions. Hardy in zones 3-8, this noninvasive, reblooming Spirea does not need deadheading. Double Play Doozie® Spiraea rarely needs to be trimmed, but if you desire, it can be trimmed after flowering this will promote new growth and another round of continuous flowers. I already had 3 of these shrubs and ordered another one for a backyard garden. These shrubs have beautiful spring foliage, the flowers are showy, and the fall foliage is nice. My double play doozie arrived healthy and in good shape from Garden Crossings.

This shrub is gorgeous. The blooms are a striking pink and looks great in my front landscape.

The double play doozie plants were in excellent shape when received and continue to do well in the flower bed....can't wait until they are a bit bigger and bloom. Will let you know!

Outstanding shrub! We had 4 of these in our full, beating sun backyard and they were gorgeous, so when we needed to replace the shrubs in front, they were my top choice! In front they get the harsh, hot afternoon sun, and they just knock it out of the park! Beautiful spring foliage color. Excellent rich pink blooms cover the plants all summer.
