Description

(Arborvitae) Fluffy® Arborvitae is proof that evergreens don't have to feel sharp or prickly to the touch. This soft, feathery Thuja stands 10 to 15 feet tall and spreads 4 to 6 feet wide. It grows quickly into a neat, tight pyramid shape. Its golden-green foliage resists the winter burn that can leave many gold-toned evergreens looking scorched and brown by spring. That same coloring adds a warm contrast against the typical greens found throughout most gardens and landscapes. However you use it, this upright evergreen brings interest to the garden in every season. Its fast growth also means a hedge or screen fills in without a long wait.

Grow Fluffy® Arborvitae in full sun to part shade, in soil that stays moist and well-drained. It's hardy in zones 5 through 8. Fluffy® has also proven more deer resistant than American Arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis), the more commonly grown species. This native selection works well for hedges, borders, and specimen plantings. It's an especially good choice anywhere you want a softer, narrower evergreen instead of a broad, prickly one. Trimming Thuja is generally not needed. If you'd like a tidier shape, you can prune it lightly in early spring. Fluffy® Arborvitae is a Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Flowering Shrub.

This review is more how the plant arrived, and not as much how it's doing (I feel like it's too early for that). The plants I ordered arrived in AMAZING condition!!! I opened the box and the plants were pristine. If "Fluffy" doesn't survive it's because it didn't like the spot, or user error, not at all because how it arrived. I can't wait to order more of the "hard to find," "wishlist," and "dream plants" again!!! Thank you!!!
