Happy Face Hearts® Potentilla
- Bright Pink Flowers,
- Mildew Resistant,
- Long Bloom Time
Description
(Potentilla) Looking for a shrub that blooms virtually all summer long? Look no further than Potentilla Happy Face Hearts®! Standing 1-2 feet tall and wide, it creates a nice mounding habit shrub. With summer, it brings a splash of color to the landscape. The large, rounded, 1-inch bicolor blooms are a bright pink color with white centers. Accenting each bloom is a yellow star shaped center. Unlike older Potentilla varieties, Happy Face Hearts® holds its color in the heat of the summer. This long blooming, disease resistant shrub has excellent flower coverage from spring through fall. Hardy in zone 2-7, it can be planted in full sun to part shade locations. A perfect shrub for hedges, ground covering, or foundation planting. It is a native variety that is drought tolerant and deer resistant. Potentilla blooms off of the new growth, If pruning is needed, we recommend doing so in the spring, removing any dead branches along the way. Potentilla Happy Face Hearts®, a Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Flowering Shrub. Note: Pink potentilla lose their color during periods of high temperatures. It’s normal, and the color will return when temperatures – and particularly nighttime temperatures – are cooler.

Reviews
Received in terrific condition. Unfortunately, they are not thriving. 🥴 One of the three died and the other two are failing. Only plant in my large order that did not make it. I should have let them rest for a few days before planting in my zone 5 high desert heat. So, my fault. I have re-ordered! Absolutely LOVE Garden Crossings.
I received them in perfect condition. I have them planted and they are doing great and are growing. Have already had blooms. Very happy with them.
