Description

(Bee Balm) Enjoy the beauty of Bee Balm earlier with our Leading Lady Series. 'Leading Lady Plum' starts the summer off right with its purple magenta blooms. Standing 10-14 inches tall, this compact bloomer forms a tidy clump up to 24" wide. Unlike other Monardas, 'Leading Lady Plum' has dark purple spots dappled on its purple magenta blooms. This repeat bloomer has little to no deadheading required as the secondary cycle of blooms stands just above the spent blooms to extend your garden color. Enjoy watching the flutter of hummingbirds and butterflies as they enjoy the fragrant flowers. 'Leading Lady Plum' is also a great source of nectar for the honeybees. If deer are a problem in your garden, no worries, the foliage of 'Leading Lady Plum' is scented which is of no interest to the deer. 'Leading Lady Plum' Monarda is another great selection to the PROVEN WINNERS® Perennial line.

Love this Plant both in ground and container. It also brings lots of pollinators to the garden, the purple color is just what I was looking for!

So beautiful! This little flower really adds a great deal of color to our garden starting in spring and lasting through the summer. It's doubled in size in the past year and remains in a tight clean formation. Bright showy flowers attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds to the front garden. So pretty and zero maintenance required.
