Description
(Japanese Silver Grass) Add vertical interest to the garden with Miscanthus 'My Fair Maiden'! Commonly called Japanese Silver Grass or Maiden Grass, this Miscanthus grows to a tremendous 8 1/2 feet tall and can spread up to 4-5 feet. This massive ornamental grass features green/yellowish, long blades that form a columnar habit. 'My Fair Maiden' grows best in full sun. Drought tolerant, this plant is easy to care for and requires light watering. Hardy in zones 5a-9a, this miscanthus has a long season of interest for its tall foliage, even lasting into the winter. Plant in the garden as a border or as a specimen. You won't have to worry about the deer or rabbit eating this grass as they tend to stay away from it. Pair it with your favorite full-sun perennials for a contrasting look.
