Description

(Lavender) We are excited to announce a Phenomenal new lavender to our offerings, Lavendula Phenomenal® from Peace Tree Farms. If you are looking for an extra-large Lavender that is great for cuttings, Phenomenal® is a great choice. Phenomenal® creates a large mounding habit that stands up to 30 inches tall and can spread to 4 ½ feet wide! The silvery-green foliage produces stunning lavender flowers on a dense mound. Phenomenal® offers what many lavenders don't: it tolerates extreme cold and heat without ugly die back. In the north, Phenomenal® blooms from mid to late summer, in the south, you can expect flowering sooner. Hardy in zones 4-9, Lavender likes to be grown in full sun and can handle poor soil conditions. The lovely fragrance of Lavender is great for cut gardens, dried floral creations, and cooking. Deer and rabbit resistant, you don't need to worry about unwanted garden guests eating your plants. When planting Phenomenal® Lavender makes sure you have enough space reserved, it is going to get large!

A local nursery told me not to plant my plants too close to the road because of snow plowing (I’m in Minnesota). One of my plants is about 6’ from the curb. Will it be ok or should I cover it somehow? All 3 are healthy and growing and I’m excited to watch them!

If you love lavender, this one is a showstopper in the garden. It has outperformed the other types of lavender in my Zone 6 garden.
