I planted multiple "Pugsters" in the spring - white, blue and periwinkle. All were planted in a similar location with the same soil, water and light. The white "Pugster" struggled all summer long. By the end of the summer (hot & humid) it was smaller than the other varieties, had some yellowing of leaves and very few blossoms. Now that the weather has cooled it seems to be responding with new leaves and blossoms. But I found this particular variety to be less vigorous than the others. And it would seem is less suited to our hot and humid summers, even with some shade in the afternoon.
