- Spring Color,
- Large Blooms,
- Long Bloom Time
Description
(Primrose) Primula BELARINA® 'Rhapsody' is a hardy, early-season perennial known for its fully double blooms and compact form. Its elegant flowers are creamy white with a soft purple picotee edge and a bright yellow center, adding refined color to shaded gardens. Blooming begins in early spring and may continue for several weeks, particularly in cooler climates.
This variety forms a neat, low-growing mound, reaching 5–8 inches tall and spreading 10–12 inches wide. It performs best in part shade and thrives in rich, consistently moist, well-drained soil ideal for woodland gardens, shaded borders, and containers. Hardy in Zones 4–8, BELARINA® 'Rhapsody' is well-suited to temperate climates with cool springs.
It is moderately resistant to deer and rabbits, especially when planted in protected areas. With its long bloom time, cold tolerance, and ability to thrive in low-light locations, Primula are a valuable addition to spring garden designs.
