Description

(Pineapple Lily) The beautiful tropical blooms of Pineapple Lily represent just like the name implies, pineapple-looking blooms. Late to emerge in the spring (like Hardy Hibiscus) Eucomis Crowning Glory® 'Princess Bride' has long, strappy foliage that emerges with shades of olive green and burgundy. In late summer tall flower spikes emerge, first showing shades of citron followed by shades of pink and cream. Standing 18 inches tall and clumping to 24 inches wide, Pineapple Lily Crowning Glory® 'Princess Bride' likes to be grown in full sun to part shade locations. Hardy in zones 6-9, this tender perennial is best suited in a protected area if growing in the North. We recommend planting in average to fertile soil conditions. The butterflies will enjoy this addition to your garden in late summer to early fall when the flowers emerge. Eucomis Crowning Glory® 'Princess Bride' is grown for its attractive foliage, and makes a great cut flower. This easy-to-grow perennial makes a great specimen plant as well as a nice thriller for combination planters. Eucomis Crowning Glory® 'Princess Bride' is a Proven Winners® Perennial.
