Description

(False Indigo) Add vertical late Spring color to your garden or landscape with Decadence® Dark Chocolate Baptisia. Standing 36-42 inches tall and 36 inches wide, Decadence® Dark Chocolate has a compact upright mounding habit. In late spring, spikes appear with deep purplish black flowers that are nestled just above the bright green foliage. As the flowers fade, dark seed pods remain. These can be trimmed off or left, which ever look suits you. Grown in full sun to part shade locations this native False Indigo is drought tolerant once established. Decadence® Dark Chocolate is deer resistant, yet is pollinator friendly attracting butterflies. Hardy in zones 4-9, Decadence® Dark Chocolate Baptisia is a Proven Winners® Perennial.
