Description

(Tall Garden Phlox) A welcome addition to any full sun garden is Phlox paniculata Luminary® 'Backlight'. The Luminary® series of phlox is one of the most powdery mildew resistant varieties on the market. Standing 28-30 inches tall and spreading to 24 inches wide, it is a perfect size plant for garden borders, mass plantings, or as part of a Tall Phlox collection. The pure white flowers bloom in midsummer in a panicle shape and are accented by the dark green foliage. The bright white blooms would be a welcome addition to the moonlight garden. Give Luminary® 'Backlight' Phlox a light trim when it is done blooming to encourage a second round of blooms. Hardy in zones 3-8, it likes to be grown in full sun locations with average water needs. We recommend planting your phlox in an area with good airflow. The fragrant blooms attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and pollinators to the garden.
