Description

(Hybrid Spring Phlox) Extend your spring creeping phlox color with 'Magenta Sprite' Phlox. Although Phlox subulata and Hybrid Spring Phlox are different, they look much the same. Phlox 'Magenta Sprite' blooms 1-2 weeks later that subulata varieties. Standing 8-10 inches tall and spreading up to 22 inches wide, 'Magenta Sprite' forms a compact slow spreading mound. The large, 3/4 inch star shaped flowers are magenta pink color. Planted in full sun is recommended for the best flower show, but very light shade is tolerated. It is a drought tolerant plant and likes to be planted in well drained locations. This native perennial is butterfly and bee friendly.
