(Inkberry Holly) Looking for a boxwood alternative? Look no further than STRONGBOX® Ilex. Standing 2-3 foot tall and wide, STRONGBOX® Inkberry Holly creates a nice mounding evergreen shrub. The foliage is often mistaken for a boxwood, although it is darker green in color. Filling out nicely from top to bottom, STRONGBOX® can be shaped into squares, circles or cylinder shapes. This native shrub can be planted in full sun to part shade locations and provides color and interest in every season. STRONGBOX® Inkberry Holly can be shaped into short hedges, used as a specimen or in container designs. This disease resistant shrub is a great substitute for Boxwood.
