Unplugged® Red Salvia

(Scarlet Sage) A bright red addition to the Unplugged® series - Unplugged® Red Salvia makes a bold statement in the garden. This annual salvia features true red, trumpet-shaped flowers that line its upright, green stems. It takes a bit of heat to take off, but once it does, wow! Salvia is a hummingbird favorite but is also enjoyed by bees and butterflies. Reaching a height of 24 inches and spreading up to 16 inches, it stays compact in size and flowers all season long up until the frost. It loves the heat and is also deer and rabbit-resistant. Growing best in full sun to part sun locations, this salvia doesn't require much maintenance for it to look stunning in the garden. Deadheading is not necessary, but we do recommend keeping it watered regularly and feeding it once a week with a water-soluble fertilizer. If its branches are getting longer than what you would like, feel free to trim it down, as doing so will not stop the flowers from continuing to bloom.
