Graceful, stately and unique are just a few words that describe Schizophragma, better known as False Hydrangea vine. False in the sense that this climber is not actually a hydrangea, but it is in the hydrangea family. It also showcases showy, lace-cap type blooms in June and July. Schizophragma requires moist, well-drained soil in part shade locations. It is happiest in woodland gardens, sprawling over low walls or rocks, or trained up north facing walls or trees.
