Collection: Lysimachia - Annuals

Lysimachia or Loosestrife is a low growing, herbaceous plant that spreads by creeping stems to about 12” wide or so, but is not considered invasive.  It forms a nice dense groundcover accented by beautiful, cheery yellow cup-shaped flowers from spring to mid-summer.  It is native to areas in China, India, Thailand and Vietnam and is winter hardy to zone 7.  The foliage is semi-evergreen to evergreen in warm winter areas and is considered an annual in colder zones.  Use Lysimachia as a groundcover, as an edging plant or in hanging baskets and containers where it will spill and trail in a striking display.
