Description

(Red-Twig Dogwood) Looking for a shrub that brings interest to your landscape in every season? Arctic Fire® Yellow Dogwood will do just that! Arctic Fire® Yellow features a compact habit standing 4-5 feet tall and spreading up to 6 feet wide with excellent branching. In the spring, white flower clusters appear followed by white berries. A perfect treat for pollinators and songbirds alike. In the winter, when the foliage has dropped, bright yellow twigs remain to create a mound of winter color. Trim a few branches out of your plant for your winter arrangements. Arctic Fire® Yellow dogwood is deer resistant and a native shrub to add to your cut flower-twig garden. Hardy in zones 2-7, Cornus is an excellent selection for borders, as a specimen, or in mass (mix it up with Arctic Fire® Red for contrast). Flowers and berries come from the previous season's growth. To maintain the brightest twig coloration we recommend trimming back to 12 inches every other year. Or if you are using Arctic Fire® Yellow as a hedge, trim out ⅓ of the old twigs every year. Arctic Fire® Yellow is a Proven Winners® Flowering Shrub.

I ordered an Arctic Fire Yellow Cornus this spring along with several other bushes, including hollies and a red twig dogwood. They arrived securely packaged and healthy. The Arctic Fire has already tripled in size and all are thriving. I also ordered several perennials that are growing beautifully. I couldn’t be happier with all of my purchases.
