Description

If you are looking for a heat and drought tolerant succulent to add texture and interest to the patio, landscape or home look no further than Art &amp, Sol™ 'Thunderbird' Mangave. The thick flat leaves of 'Thunderbird' are covered in dark red spots that give the plant its attractive maroon shading. Full sun exposure will bring out the best vibrant foliage color. Green undertones in the leaves will show in lower light situations. Art &amp, Sol™ 'Thunderbird' Mangave grows 8-12 inches high by 10-12 inches wide and can be grown as a patio plant in a mixed or mono container, houseplant (in a high light area), or landscape plant in zones 9-11. Mangave is a cross between Manfreda and Agave. This marriage brings the best of both worlds, the better growth rate and attractive patterns of Manfreda and the habit and drought tolerance of Agave. This cross has also created a plant that can survive over watering which would be the end of most succulents. If you give Art &amp, Sol™ 'Thunderbird' Mangave more water, it will encourage faster growth, but if it is watered sparingly, it will slow the growth rate down. This is one easy care succulent that will bring great texture, interest, and tropical vibes to the landscape or home. Art &amp, Sol™ 'Thunderbird' Mangave is a Proven Winners® Perennial.
