Description
(Maiden Grass) Miscanthus 'Bandwidth' is a unique ornamental grass featuring green blades with patches of cream that form a zebra-like pattern and appearance. Commonly called Maiden Grass, this miscanthus reaches a maximum height and width of 30-36 inches and is hardy in zones 5a to 9b. Grown in full sun, this ornamental grass adds motion to the garden as it blows in the breeze. It also adds contrast with its fine, long foliage strands. 'Bandwidth' is a resilient plant, it can grow in more dry conditions, as it is drought tolerant. Being low maintenance, this plant has low watering requirements and only needs to be cut back once in the spring. Additionally, deer and rabbits also tend to stay away from this ornamental grass. Miscanthus 'Bandwidth' can be enjoyed in the garden, landscape, or even in a container. Plant it next to your favorite full sun perennials for a nice contrast and to add vertical interest.
