Baron' Pepper (Capsicum)

(Capsicum) The Gold Standard in Bell Peppers, Baron is sure to delight. An excellent selection for slicing, baking, or stuffing! Baron peppers are an easy to grow selection and produce a plethora of 4-inch peppers all summer long. The thick walled, heavy flesh of Baron peppers ripens from a deep green to a fire engine red. Keep your plants well watered and in direct sun for a better portion of the day. Peppers are usually picked at an early stage when they are green, although the flavor is enhanced as it matures and turns orange and red. When picking peppers, be careful to not pull on the pepper as it may damage your plant. It is best to trim it with a garden snipper. For best flavor, we recommend eating your peppers the same day they are picked. Peppers can set out on your counter for a few days and still taste great.
