Description
(Bugleweed) Ajuga 'Black Scallop' is a dark and mysterious groundcover, with nearly jet-black foliage. 'Black Scallop' is one of the darkest of any perennial! The dark evergreen leaves are very glossy, scalloped, and provide a wonderful ground hugging mat that is simply striking. Deep blue flower spikes in the spring compliment the dark foliage. 'Black Scallop' is easy to grow in sun or shade, but produces more intense color in full sun.

Marilyn M. I grabbed three of these little plants in Oct. planted them and they grew amazingly well for such a short time before winter set in. I definitely will be buying more of them. I have them in clay and wet soil.
