Description
(Clematis) For all of you looking for shade clematis varieties, here is one for you! Clematis 'Kitty' is part of the Boulevard series which is known for being compact and a great patio planter selection. Boulevard 'Kitty' is a near-white clematis with heavily overlapped petals and burgundy-tipped anthers. Growing 2-3 feet tall this clematis is very compact and well suited for containers as well as small garden spaces. 'Kitty', a free flowering clematis blooms in June-July and again later in the summer. Hardy in zones 4-9, Boulevard 'Kitty' prefers part shade locations, but can handle filtered shade. As with all clematis, it is recommended to keep the roots shaded, this can be done by adding a layer of mulch or planting other plants around it. As part of prune group 3, a hard prune down to 6 inches is recommended in the Fall or early Spring. Clematis flower color may vary due to its environment.
