Reviews
I was so excited to see this one bloom - the photos suggest an intense red. Sadly, rabbits began nibbling my newly planted Nubia almost immediately, without my knowing (I thought it was dying from an unknown). My husband saw a rabbit feasting one morning, and I caged this and another clematis (who'd not been nibbled so severely). My lovely Nubia sported a half eaten bud of deep true red... and a week later bloomed a single glorious deep red flower - so beautiful! Despite tender care, she had been too nibbled before I protected her. I intend to order another next spring, and this time, I will be ready for those big-eared beasts!
I live in Dallas, Texas and a first timer on Boulevard Clematis, mine is the pale purple. I just bought it and I am testing if it can withstand the afternoon sun. Yesterday I gave it 4 hrs of midday sun and planning to expose it to hot afternoon sun among other plants and find out. So far, in 3 days, the blooms doubled.
