Bubbly Wine® Weigela
- Dwarf Weigela,
- Colorful Foliage,
- Deer Resistant
Description
(Weigela) Enjoy the beauty of foliage and flowers by planting Weigela Bubbly Wine®. Standing 18-36 inches tall and spreading up to 36 inches wide, it forms a mounding habit that blooms on the previous season's growth. The green and yellow foliage with a hue of burgundy, in the sun, sparkles with the late spring blooming, pink tubular flowers. As with many variegated shrubs, occasional reversion may occur, but all in all, this plant has remained very stable. It likes to be grown in full sun to part shade locations with well-drained soil. Hardy in zones 4-8, this deer-resistant shrub is great for garden borders and, low-growing foundation plantings. Enjoy the butterflies and pollinators as they visit the late spring blooms. Weigela Bubbly Wine® is a Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Flowering Shrub.
