Description
(Chilean Guava) Warm color, fragrance, and flavorful fruit make Ugni Candybox™ Chilean Guava a truly special addition to the garden. This compact evergreen shrub offers beauty and productivity in one neat package. Its coppery new growth emerges in spring, gradually maturing into glossy green leaves that keep their shine year-round. In late spring to early summer, it's adorned with dainty pink-peach, bell-shaped flowers that fill the air with a light, sweet scent and attract pollinators. A great option as a boxwood replacement.
As the season progresses, those blooms transform into clusters of deep red berries in late summer, prized for their unique, sweet flavor with notes of strawberry and spice. Best of all, no companion plant is needed for fruit production Candybox™ sets berries all on its own.
Reaching about 2–3 feet tall and wide, this tidy shrub is perfect for containers, edible gardens, or mixed borders. Hardy in USDA Zones 7-9, it thrives in full sun to part sun with well-drained soil. It's also deer resistant and low maintenance, making it as easy to grow as it is to enjoy.
With its year-round foliage, fragrant flowers, and delicious berries, Ugni Candybox™ Chilean Guava brings both charm and flavor to ornamental and edible landscapes alike. Part of the Proven Winners® Color Choice Shrub collection!
