- Dramatic Foliage,
- Disease Resistant,
- Vigorous Grower
Description
(Crapemyrtle) Front and center is where you'll want this blooming beauty! Center Stage® Pink Crapemyrtle will bring drama to the garden boasting bright pink blooms set off by a supporting cast of glossy, nearly black foliage. Standing 6-12 feet tall and spreading up to 8 feet wide, this upright growing shrub likes to be in the garden spotlight. It has strong branching and excellent disease resistance. It is adorned with large clusters of pink flowers that will begin blooming earlier in the summer than other Crapemyrtles and continue into early Fall. It blooms off of new growth so pruning to shape can be done in early spring. Hardy to zones 7-10, this southern plant prefers to be grown in full sun locations and overwatering should be avoided. Easy to grow, Center Stage® Pink is a nice selection for mass plantings, a garden specimen or to create a long blooming border. Center Stage® Pink Crapemyrtle is deer resistant and is a Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Flowering Shrub.
