Description

(Catmint) This unique Nepeta adds not only flower color to your garden but foliage color as well. Nepeta 'Chartreuse On The Loose' stands 8-10 inches tall and creates a mounding spreading habit that reaches 24 inches wide. In late spring lavender blue flowers emerge and cover the bright chartreuse green foliage. Unlike others in the Nepeta family, 'Chartreuse On The Loose' blooms all summer without needing to be trimmed. Hardy in zones 3-8, Catmint prefers to be planted in full sun locations and requires average watering. Once established they can tolerate being in areas with poor soil quality. Blooming from late spring through the fall, this long-blooming perennial is easy to grow. Deer and rabbit resistant, 'Chartreuse On The Loose' Nepeta is a great selection for borders, mass plantings, and container gardens. The fragrance of catmint is enjoyable to cats, snip a few branches for your cat. Enjoy the butterflies, hummingbirds, and pollinators as they visit your garden.

The chartreuse color really stands out in front of darker perennials. Great border plant.
