Today my eagerly awaited delphinium plants arrived with their flowering stalks needlessly cut off. This will markedly delay the time it takes to enjoy new flowers to be produced by the otherwise healthy plants. The shipping box was plenty tall enough to have accommodated the flower stalks.
Thank you for reaching out. Your plants had already bloomed in the greenhouse, so we trimmed off the spent blooms. We do frequently trim our plants if needed to remove spent blooms and to promote more branching.
