(Coneflower) Color Coded® 'One in a Melon' Echinacea features a blend of yellow and orange to create a vibrant melon color five-inch flowers with exceptionally wide overlapping petals, and a gold cone dusted in orange pollen. The Color Coded™ series of Coneflowers are clonally produced from tissue culture resulting in uniform color and habit. Selected by Proven Winners® for their large flower size, excellent branching habit, horizontally held petals, and superior flower power, we at Garden Crossings have been very impressed with Color Coded® 'One in a Melon' Echinacea in our garden trials as well. Standing 24-26 inches tall and spreading up to 20 inches wide, The bright green foliage is a perfect contrast with the melon-colored blooms. Hardy in zones 4-8, we recommend planting Color Coded™ 'One in A Melon' in full sun to part sun location. These deer-resistant perennials attract pollinators and butterflies to the garden. Once the flowers are finished blooming, leave on the spent blooms and watch the songbirds as they enjoy picking at the seeds. Coneflowers are native to the US and create a beautiful mass of color mid to late summer. These fragrant blooms are perfect in containers as well as planted in the garden. Just received, but no doubt it will be beautiful when it blooms. Garden Crossing is amazing. I live in New England and started ordering my plants in Jan. They all came in last week. Special care went into each and every plant I received. Not one was damaged or wilted.
